Spam Settings
Summary
INKY can leverage existing spam results from Microsoft or Google, and also runs its own spam engine. The settings outlined below are used to customize these behaviors. Enabling Spam Settings allows our yellow caution banner titled “Spam Content” to be applied based on which setting is used. Disabling both options would result in INKY not applying the Caution Banner titled “Spam Content” but all other banners will be applicable based on our evaluation.
Options
Spam Settings are found under Settings > Analysis in your INKY Dashboard.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
INKY should label mail "Spam Content" if Microsoft EOP or G Suite previously classified it as spam. (For Office 365 / G Suite only) | With this setting enabled INKY will label mail with a “Spam Content” banner if the following headers are present from the mail provider. X-Gm-Spam: 1 (Google Workspace) Disable this setting if you have a different upstream provider responsible for spam filtering and wish to ignore Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace classifications. |
Enable Inky's own spam engine | INKY’s spam engine can be used independently or in conjunction with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. Disable this setting if you have a different upstream provider responsible for spam filtering and do not want Inky classifying any mail as spam based on its own analysis. |
Sensitivity Level | The spam sensitivity level is only applicable to INKY’s own spam engine. Increasing or decreasing the sensitivty level adjusts the spam score threshold the message is required to meet in order to be labeled “Spam Content”. |
